Each piece is one of a kind, numbered in the order it was finished.

Each begins with cloth — most often cloth I've sourced sustainably and left undyed, which I cut into, manipulate, and shape by hand. Into it I work my own handwoven and hand-knit cloth, the moments that carry the piece. Found and vintage yardage comes in as accent, always natural fiber, for the life it already holds. Where a piece needs color I use natural dyes, or certified cloth and yarn — RWS and Oeko-Tex. Nothing is drawn first; the piece is made as it goes.

Because each garment exists only once, the shapes are made to be forgiving — wrapped, tied, gathered, adjustable — so a single piece can sit well on many different bodies.

Each release is previewed first to my mailing list, behind an access code — every piece photographed, measured and priced, and marked either online or at the show. Some are sold here on an announced date; others are held for the trunk show and never listed. Nothing is ever available in two places at once, because each piece exists only once.

Online pieces can be bought the moment the release opens. Show pieces come off the rail in person, where you can put them on — which, for a one-of-a-kind garment in a single size, is the only way to really know. Whatever does not sell at the show is listed here afterwards.

If a piece wants adjusting, I'll pin it to you there and finish the alterations in my studio; the garment is then posted to you, or held for collection. Alterations carry an additional fee, quoted when I pin, and are finished within three weeks. I take a limited number of alterations at each show. Because a piece altered to one body can't be offered to another, altered garments are final sale.

Every piece goes home with a signed photograph of it being finished in the studio.
